Hard work!

Well... A whole day of working on the van and I don't have a great deal to show for it.  I started the day
with deciding that I should take out the temporary 2 seats that I have in the van at the moment in order to get the floor out thus making the carpeting of the wheel arches in particular a bit easier

I have already insulated the van and soundproofed the van using wool and flashing tape.  This made a good deal of difference to the road noise and panel 'activity'.  You may recall from previous posts that I live in an apartment block that has a car lift (it was necessary to lower the van to make it fit),  a benefit of living in my particular apartment block is a large dry and mainly empty garage area.

On downside is that it doesnt have the best lighting so a head torch was needed to ensure that I had the best possible light.  The first job was to remove the rear seats and the flooring.

As you can see as floor was a little dirty with lots of sand and other general dust.  I cleared this out with a dustpan and brush and then vacuumed.  Now the really hard work started and after about 2-3 hrs I finished both arches with a light grey carpet.

Thats enough work for one day.  I'm going over to my brothers for some food now.  Another day of it planned for tomorrow.  The objective is to have all of the carpeting finished... Lets see how I get on.
