Windows and Suspension

Hello. I've just returned from my stag weekend down in Suffolk where we went sea fishing.  I'm not really a fisherman at all but I have to say it was an absolutely awesome weekend!  I picked up the van from Unique Camper vans in St Neots in the evening of the 5th November and made my way down to Suffolk.

The sun going down over Southwold, very nice.

The van had been in to get windows fitted to the sides and the rear barn doors.  It also had new -40mm Apex springs.

The Apex springs are absolutely excellent.  The ride quality has actually improved over bumps and gong around corners is no longer like being in a boat.  As for the windows, they are proper black limo glass and they go a long way to making the van less like a builders van and more like a leisure vehicle.  The rear windows make reversing a lot less of a lottery and enable you to see traffic behind a little better.  I think I still intend on fitting a LCD rear view mirror with a permanent camera showing the rear as it will make the driving experience even better, and besides, I love gadgets!

Next steps

Hello.  I have now booked the van in on the 5th November for some modifications at Unique Campers in St Neots Cambridgeshire.  I have decided to have limo glass side windows and barn door windows fitted and to also have the van lowered by 40mm using Apex springs.  Furthermore, and as a temporary measure, I am having a couple of seats fitted in the rear.

I am still intending on converting the van into a camper, however, it is my daily drive as well so hence the seats!
